Wedding

Colleen & Trevor

My very good friends Colleen & Trevor were married this past November and I was incredibly lucky to spend the entire day with them.  The way they make each other smile….I can’t describe it properly….but you can see everything in those two smiles.  Love you guys.  Congratulations.

Christie & Ben

I had the absolute pleasure of documenting Christie & Ben’s wedding at the beautiful home of her parents in Steady Brook.  They’re clearly madly in love and everyone is madly in love with them!  There was a lot of love at this wedding….not to mention some Ben-thusiasm as Christie has dubbed it, including a hike to the falls for some shots.  Ben is far from home, he’s originally a native of Australia.  However, there were lots of nods to his native land here in our home and native land, from the first song (any guesses?), flags, and most importantly family and friends who made the long trip.  Here’s a few favorites from the day…

Crystal & Paul

A huge thanks to Crystal and Paul for having me along to shoot their wedding.  It was a beautiful day for a wedding in an idyllic setting, the beach at Shallow Bay, only outdone by Crystal’s huge smile.  I had the pleasure of joining my good friend Dave Brosha for a wedding shoot in Gros Morne.  Dave and I met during our time at StFX University; Dave went on to live in the North and there he caught quite the bug….the photography bug.  He’s taken his passion and talents to amazing heights with his hard work and enthusiasm.  You can find him on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/davebroshaphotography, I recommend checking him out there and his website as well http://davebrosha.com.  For Dave’s pictures from the day see his blog post here and slideshow here.

Blair & Chantelle

I’ve known Blair for over ten years and see him weekly at our ‘highly skilled’ hockey game, he’s an excellent defenseman, constant comedian, true gentleman, and I’m sure will be a great husband to Chantelle. His beautiful wife Chantelle was an absolute pleasure to work with, shoot, and simply get to know better. The best part of this ‘job’ is the chance to get to know friends better and make new ones. You both made my job easy and an absolute pleasure. Thank you.

Todd & Marlo

I was honored to be asked to document Todd & Marlo’s wedding in March of this year to start my wedding season! They’re a beautiful couple with a couple of beautiful daughters to help them celebrate the day…and days to come.  The weather gave everyone involved a nice little scare as a serious March blast was forecast.  In the end we got a nice dusting the night before so that everything looked crisp and white for the bright and sunny afternoon.

Peter MacDonald Photography

Welcome to the blog! Thanks for stopping by. My Name is Peter MacDonald and I’m a photographer based out of Corner Brook Newfoundland.

Here are some highlights of weddings I’ve shot in the past. Some are my favorite photos, and some are favorites of the couples featured here. Hopefully they all show how I approach shooting a wedding.

My goal is to capture real moments as they happen without being intrusive in any way. I believe that these special moments, filled with authentic emotion, will say so much to those who ultimately view them. They’ll help bring all those involved right back to the way they felt on a very special day. I simply love documenting love!

A good friend of mine, who designed a website and lapel buttons for my wedding, came up with a slogan for us and I can’t say it any better…

Love, Baby. Love.
